During today´s wonderful Suntey Raho session we explored Ragaanga Bhairav and discussed the association between specific emotions and rags. We learned that the rasa theory emerged in more recent history. Is there any connection between the emergence of the rasa theory and the ragamala paintings? I was also wondering what role does the raga/rasa relationship play in musical training? How much do gurus focus on that when teaching? I am looking forward to reading your thoughts on this matter...
